Dr Alba Català is a specialist in General Dermatology and Venereology. She graduated in Medicine from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and qualified as a specialist in Dermatology and Venereology at the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau in Barcelona.

Her medical interests include acne, rosacea, naevus and skin manifestations of systemic and infectious diseases. However, her sub-speciality is the study and diagnosis of sexually transmitted diseases and for this reason she acts as Coordinator of our Sexually Transmitted Infections Unit.

Dr Català has formed part of a number of different research protocols, particularly concerning the management of patients with psoriasis and haemangiomas. She has also published numerous articles in the field of dermatology and actively participates at medical conferences.
